Grow a Pair and Get Some Integrity

I really wish the democrats would grow a pair and just be honest about their feelings and intentions on the 2nd amendment. It’s called having integrity isn’t it, when you are honest about things. I know I am just acting plain crazy to expect politicians to be honest, especially the democrats.

What has me up in arms right now is the completely dis-honest and deceptive attempt to ban the M855 green tip ball ammo used in the AR-15 sporting rifle. I believe you can combine all previous administrations since America was formed and not match the level of lies and deception practiced by the obama administration.

The ATF, I am sure is acting on direct orders from the white house in pursuing the attempted ban on this ammo. They can’t get what they want through legislation, which is to take all of our guns away, or at least restrict us to weapons we cannot protect ourselves with from a tyrannical government. I have to wonder how many people the administration is paying just to look for back door methods to violate our rights, that is all this ban is. The ammo in question does not qualify as armor piercing ammo by law as described in the U.S. Code, 18 U.S. Code 921 (17) (a) –

(A) The term “ammunition” means ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or propellent powder designed for use in any firearm.

(B) The term “armor piercing ammunition” means—

(i) a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely (excluding the presence of traces of other substances) from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or

(ii) a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile.

(C) The term “armor piercing ammunition” does not include shotgun shot required by Federal or State environmental or game regulations for hunting purposes, a frangible projectile designed for target shooting, a projectile which the Attorney General finds is primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes, or any other projectile or projectile core which the Attorney General finds is intended to be used for industrial purposes, including a charge used in an oil and gas well perforating device.

The fact that this ammunition does not meet the requirements by law to be considered armor piercing doesn’t seem to matter to the ATF or obama. When your intentions are to violate our rights, for your own anti American purposes, honesty and integrity don’t enter into the equation. But then where does any integrity enter into it with this administration?

Of course many democrats are urging the ATF to move forward with this illegal ban to “keep dangerous ammunition out of our neighborhoods”. Even law enforcement sources stated that there is no real danger to them from this ammo, which was the reason for the ban according to the ATF. That is because criminals don’t carry AR-15 rifles, and the AR platform pistols that are available on the market are to costly and large for the normal criminal element to purchase or conceal. Take a look and see:

• Bushmaster – AR pistol $1,228.98/23.5 to 26.75 inches long
• Rock River Arms – AR pistol $1,175.00/ 23.0 to 26.5 inches long
• Black Rain Ord – AR pistol $1,197.00/ 32.0 inches long

I only listed 3 here, but if you do some research you will see all of the AR platform pistols all fall into the same general price range and size range. Neither the price nor size is attractive to your average criminal, they can’t conceal them as they can a compact or even mid-frame handgun. Most of the guns recovered by police (used in crimes) are revolvers in.38 caliber and semi-auto handguns in calibers of .22, .32, .380 and .9mm most often. They are purchased on the street for $500.00 or less usually.

The ATF and obama’s decepticons in the administration are simply trying to cause a shortage in the supply and/or cause a spike in the cost of ammo for the AR-15 sporting rifle. They won’t admit their real purpose, but they fear this weapons platform because of it’s popularity with certain segments of the population that the administration does not trust. Truthfully this administration cares nothing about our constitutional rights and would like to totally dis-arm the populace if they could. Too many in our government, especially democrats would like to re-make our country into a police state, so they may have complete control based on a socialist system, not as a constitutional republic as we have now.

I suspect, as do others that the ATF and administration are not done with this yet. They will try an even larger ban most likely, all under the guise of safety for law enforcement. The DOJ has thrown law enforcement to the wolves multiple times, but now that they can use them for their own purpose they are suddenly concerned with their safety. obama and his band of liars and thieves only care about their own agenda and how to accomplish it.

Turning the Thin Blue Line Black

There is a lot going on in America concerning law enforcement lately. From the grand jury decisions in the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases to the use of the federal 1033 program to militarize local law enforcement agencies, there is much to be concerned about. Of major concern is the unbelievable and drastic rise in the use of Swat style raids, even for minor infractions of the law. Though it’s not readily apparent, it is all connected in my opinion. Some of you may think I need to put on my tin foil hat here, but I believe my theory is more real then conspiracy. How many of you have heard obama’s remarks about wanting his own national police force equipped just like the military?

Let me list a few things here, and then I will connect the dots between them and the formation of a national police force, under the thumb of the Washington elites.

• Federal government agencies (DOJ, FBI, etc…) tasked with enforcing the law, protecting the criminals over the victims.

The federal government can have a big affect on state and local law enforcement agencies through the policies and actions of the DOJ, FBI, HLS and ICE at the federal level, and they can cause a lot of frustration and anger by using the courts at all levels. Look at the affect of illegal immigration, or the release of violent felons (illegals) that were released back into the general public. Local police threatened if they detain or arrest many of these people.

The people that want a national police force understand one important factor that must considered. In this whole equation, the rank and file majority of law enforcement officers across the country would have to join in the effort to create this force, for it to work. There are approximately 12,500 police departments with approximately 500,000 employees in the United States. Each one of these departments have their own unique chain of command, internal politics, rules and standards that vary by department size and type. Over coming the problems created by trying to merge all of these people into one organization would be almost impossible.

The answer to this problem is to create a want and perceived need at each level of law enforcement. This is where the federal 1033 program comes in, this is the first taste of what could be. And it is easy to draw the prey (officers) into the trap, they offer all of these new toys to play with at no charge. Military grade weapons and equipment will be needed down the road, so in this manner they get the officers to learn the weapons and equipment voluntarily. Due to the nature of their job it is easy to convince officers that they need this equipment, step one accomplished.

This is step two, bring together different law enforcement agencies under one roof, start giving them a little bigger taste of what could be, still at no charge of course (it’s on us, the taxpayer). One of the other purposes is to start trying to standardize the procedures by which all law enforcement agencies operate, new procedures will of course be called suggestions to streamline operational objectives and goals (get everyone on the same page). And promote higher levels of inter-agency co-operation.

Many of us are concerned about the drastic increase in two important developments in law enforcement, those are the rise from several thousand Swat type raids each year to over 40,000 each year currently. The other development is the increased use of force as a first reaction by many officers, the main excuse is officer safety. It is clear from video and eye witness accounts that much of this force was not justified in many cases. The government is encouraging the Swat type raids through the issuance of high levels of military hardware (1033 program), once they have the equipment they will want to use it. They want as many officers experienced in these types of home entry as possible, possible future gun confiscations will require large numbers of officers to be skilled in these tactics. By encouraging tactics like this, officers in both urban and rural departments are all learning standardized methods.

Another major concern is the court approved hiring of less qualified individuals, lower I.Q. applicants being accepted over more intelligent ones. The excuse being that more intelligent people would lose interest in the job and move on to a new career, thus wasting training time and money. The reality is quite different I believe, in truth the purpose is to fill the ranks with people that will question less and simply follow orders as instructed. The obvious problem of constantly hiring people with lower intelligence is the upper ranks will eventually fill with these people through promotions. This will not be an issue if the shots are being called by a group of people say in Washington maybe, instead of at a local level.

I mentioned creating a want earlier in this article. Look at what a lot of state and local governments and police departments seem to be doing with policies and attitudes that are dramatically affecting officer moral. They are being aided by the media in this also, consider how quickly the media shut up about the lack of use of the national Guard in the Ferguson situation. The media brought it up, but quickly dropped it because their masters told them to. How was officer moral affected knowing no one had their back in that situation. By slowly breaking down moral over time they are creating a problem that they will promote later as being solved by consolidating police departments on a national level. Demoralized officers will have interest in this because they will be shown how it will benefit them, of course officer safety will be promoted highly as one of the greatest benefits involved. Step three accomplished, how many officers will  volunteer because they have been convinced it is in their best interest? Because one department with common goals will better protect them, not just on the job but in retirement also. Creating the us against them environment, where the public is the enemy is also aiding in creating the “want” that will help push police officers towards the one department idea.

Ask yourself who really benefits from the protests against the police that are happening around the country. What do they do to officer moral? They clearly give the impression to police officers that bigger is better when it comes to dealing with protests and possible civil unrest. Who can offer bigger and better then a coordinated federal police force.

Oliver Twist(ed) Friedfeld’s Story!

Bad Language Warning: Because this pisses me the fuck off beyond belief! I couldn’t believe this was a real story at first!

What the fuck is wrong with this Oliver Twist(ed) Friedfeld moron? And he may be part of our government someday. Though the government is already filled with the same level of stupidity exhibited by this Oliver Twist(ed) fool. He deserved to get robbed because of his privilege, he says he believes that those with privilege should just adapt to crime. This time his assailants were not violent, what of the many who are mugged and beaten, or raped, stabbed or shot in the commission of a crime of this nature? What the fuck is wrong with this guy?

Not once did he consider their attackers to be bad people. “They wanted my stuff, not me. While I don’t know what exactly they needed the money for, I do know that I’ve never once had to think about going out on a Saturday night to mug people. I had never before seen a gun, let alone known where to get one.” I don’t know who or what decides who is privileged or not privileged or at what level privilege kicks in. But it is quite clear that this individual is completely clueless to the reality that many of us live, and the sorrow and pain many families experience because violent crime has taken a loved one away from them.

He can hardly blame his assailants because of income inequality, and some bullshit of otherization. They were two criminals that robbed him and his room mate at gunpoint. But it’s not their fault that they are the garbage of society, it’s the wrongs of the past, according to Oliver Twist(ed). He doesn’t, like all liberal morons mention any specific wrongs of the past that need addressing. But these wrongs are clearly having an effect on these poor gun toting young men of high moral fiber, who’s investment in the local crack house did not pay off with any dividends this quarter. Thus forcing them to create a temporary level of privilege for themselves, based on someone else’s hard work and effort.

Apparently this Oliver twist-ed has wealthy parents or family, this has allowed  him to live a life of privilege. One that has afforded him all the comforts of life, and an education most can only dream of. An education that clearly has taught him nothing of the real world, yet through the School of Foreign Service he may someday be a member of the State Department, possibly in control of important decisions concerning our country. I have to assume that it is his privilege that has gotten him to this point in his life, it certainly is not his grasp on reality, he has none. I am guessing he has never gotten off of his over privileged ass and done a day of work in his life, he clearly has no idea that someone in his family had to earn the money that he is coasting through life on.

He trots out the old income inequality excuse for the two scumbags that robbed him.  How fucking clueless is this guy? Who makes excuses for the criminal, especially criminals that commit armed robbery. This just really pisses me off, what kind of schools and teachers do we have in our country at all levels of the education system if we are turning out complete morons and idiots like this. Someone could have been injured or even died during the robbery if things had gone differently.

This is a big part of what is wrong with America, we have people telling us that all white people are racists because of privilege (white privilege), just by virtue of birth. We have liberals like this idiot Oliver twist-ed telling us that some people because of their social and or financial privilege should not expect to have the same protections or rights the Constitution and the Bill of Rights guarantees the rest of us. Even more disturbing is the idea that criminals are not responsible for their own behavior, but some perceived wrong from the past is the real culprit. So we should do what? Grant to the criminal element in our society special rights to make them a privileged class, based on some yet unstated past wrongs the liberals all agree exist yet cannot to this day ever seem to make an actual list of.

I know this sounds totally ridiculous and insane, but to me this whole story from Oliver twist-ed sounds that way. After reading it multiple times I still can’t grasp that this is a true story, it sounds like a script for a TV show more then reality. The worst part of it all is there are way to many clueless liberals and morons in our society, that don’t seem to grasp reality. If you try to rob me at gun point or break into my house I am going to shoot you, plain and fucking simple, that is all the reality you need to grasp. You won’t be the first one to take a shot at me, but I will do my best to make sure it is your last shot, ever. How do you expect someone to respond if you are threatening their life or their family?

I still cannot grasp the reality here, that reality being where our country and society are headed. It’s not even about the number of people that have fallen victim to the liberal garbage corrupting our society. It’s the fact that they can spread this garbage so easily through their control of the education system, both primary and secondary. That is what is making their agenda so effective is the total control, common core is an extension of that agenda. Why do you think they (the liberals and democrats) are pushing so hard for universal preschool, an earlier start to the indoctrination of our children. How do you think the system is turning out morons that believe they deserved to be a victim.

Why do you think common core and total control is so important to them. They know with time and control of the circumstances they can eventually teach kids to give up their Constitutional Rights and Freedoms voluntarily, without a fight or shot ever being fired. This may seem like a story of just another clueless moron not grasping the reality many of us face in life. But look at the underlying cause and effect that the education system probably played here.

And yes privilege did and does play a role here, but not in the manor you think. Many of the people that end up running our country and our government, come from families of wealth and privilege. Many of these people already have a distorted sense of reality because of their life of privilege and how it shelters them from a normal daily life in America. If they can influence the future leaders and people in government, it is a much smaller group that they need to focus on. With exclusive and Ivy League schools attended primarily by the people they most wish to influence, consider where this could eventually lead us. And see why they need these schools to be the bastions of liberalism they have become.

Consider what we can learn from this story, as fucked up as it is.

A Different Focus, Current Dangers, Future Crises…

I have tried to look at many different issues from across the political and social spectrum over time. The problem is there are so many important issues facing our society right now, no one person or blog could cover them all and do justice to them. So I have decided for the current and near future I am going to focus on three or four main issues, they are “our 2nd Amendment rights”, “the muslim problem”, “the militarization of the growing police state” and “financial collapse and/or civil unrest”. I want to focus on these issues because they have the potential, at some point in the future (near future), to become actual physical conflicts. There are other issues that could lead us into a physical conflict also, I will touch on them as they will relate to other issues. So much of what is happening in our country is the cause or affect of something else.

Of course I sound like a conspiracy nut when I start talking about physical conflicts on the streets of America. Too many people have convinced themselves that it can’t happen here, not in a million years. Unless things change considerably in the near future (couple of years), I believe that it can and will happen. Even without looking at any specific issues or situations, ask yourself why the federal government has been, and continues to, purchase large amounts of weapons and ammunition. Weapons and ammunition for departments and agencies that have no real need for them, nor any enforcement powers that would allow them to utilize these weapons. Couple that with the sheer volume of military hardware being given to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies under the DOD’s 1033 program. Initially authorized under the NDAA in 1990, the programs scope was strictly authorized as a new tool in the “war on drugs”. The program was expanded considerably a few years later to include material that could be used in “the execution of law enforcement activities”. That’s pretty dam vague isn’t it? Then of course 9/11 and the Patriot Act helped to expand the program and the distribution of even more equipment and weaponry.

Now add into the mix the new Fusion Centers being set up, these centers bring together federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, under one roof. My biggest concern with these centers is how they are being used. Information has come out already that shows that they are more concerned with watching and labeling patriotic Americans as a terrorist threat, then they are concerning true terrorist activity. Their list of dangerous people includes the Tea Party, Oathkeepers, Three Percenters and basically anyone that believes in their Constitutional Rights and Freedoms.

So far we have not even looked at any real issues, only at the past and present behavior of the federal government. It leaves you questioning and wondering what they are preparing for in the future, near or far. No other administration in our history has felt the need to arm every government agency in the executive branch. Nor have any previous administrations attempted to bring together federal, state and local law enforcement, while at the same time choosing which laws to enforce and which to ignore. At the same time intentionally breaking the laws concerning immigration and the security of our national borders.

I am going to start presenting articles focused primarily around the four issues I listed above. While you are waiting, consider what I have brought up concerning the federal government, and start doing your own research. You may realize I am not as much of a conspiracy nut as I may have first appeared to be.

Three Percent of What? Mr. Government Agent…

I read an article that left me with several questions. I have always thought the purpose of writing an informative news article was to in fact “inform” your readers. The author never seemed to see the basic flaw in the article, or was helping to promote propaganda and negative word association from the government.  The article in question by Chris Eger, is from June 2014 and was posted on Guns.com, here is a link:

Some background is required here or you may not see the flaw either, depending on your level of knowledge concerning history, and current events also. The opening paragraph of the article is as follows:
“The Chicago Police Department, working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and FBI, has opened the Crime Gun Intelligence Center to crackdown on illegal guns from what they call “three-percenters.”

It continues farther down:
“The target of this Crime Gun Intelligence Center: a group the ATF is referring to as “three-percenters.”

And even farther down in the article:
“It remains constant from year to year that about 40 percent of the crime guns recovered in the City of Chicago come from Illinois, and about 20 percent come from Indiana,” Carl Vasilko, ATF Special Agent in Charge, told WGN. “The core mission of the Crime Gun Center is to identify these shooters, or these ‘three percenters,’ and the traffickers that sell them guns and get them off our streets.”

In all three of these sections of the article they make sure to mention (with emphasis) what they are referring to as “Three Percenters”. They cast them in a very evil light, yet they never validate or qualify, if you will, what or who exactly is a “three percenter”. This is not by accident, this was not a simple omission in an article, by where an author later says “oh crap” I forgot to define who or what a “three percenter” is, or what behavior or actions qualifies them to be a “three percenter”.

This is a simple negative word association game being played by the federal government to give a negative, even criminal connotation to the name “three percenter”. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “three percenter”, you have to travel back to the American revolution. During the American Revolution, the active fighting forces in the field against the crown, never amounted to more than 3% of the population of the colonies.

In today’s society there are different groups of people that refer to themselves as “three percenters”, in reference to the original colonists that were fighting the tyranny of the king. The people in these 3% groups are basically just like Tea Party members, pro-constitution, pro 2nd amendment, etc… Of course the government sees them as a threat, so they are trying to make the negative association through articles such as the one I reference here. If you read the whole article at the link above, no place in there does it says what or why they are using the term “three percenters”. Quite clearly they are trying to build a negative association in the mind of the reader.

Of course the Anti-defamation league and the southern poverty law center have listed the 3%’ers since 2009 and 2010 as a radical right wing organization. But then again the SPLC lists anyone that is even mildly conservative as a radical right wing extremist. They basically are a propaganda organization, nothing more.

It is the state and federal government that bother me with their classification of the 3%’ers as an extremist organization. They know full well that they are spreading outright lies, but this administration is the most dis-honest in American history. The 3%’ers, of which I am a member, have very valid reasons to mistrust our current government, we are all aware of the NSA spying on innocent citizens who simply believe in their constitutional rights and freedoms. There is an old joke that unfortunately is not a joke with this administration, how can you tell obama is lying, his lips are moving. This used to be a joke, but the obama administration is filled with true scumbags and liars, on a scale unprecedented in our history.

Three Percenters are true Patriots concerned with the present and the future of America. We support the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as they are written, not as the liberal scumbags wish to interpret them. We believe in freedom for all Americans and understand that personal responsibility as citizens and fiscal responsibility by the government are two of the key measures needed to bring America back to it’s former glory. We are not anti-government as many wish to portray us, we support the government as a responsible entity, not in it’s current incarnation. The administration hates us as they hate any true American that can see who they really are.

I like most 3%er’s are military veterans, we took an oath, to fight all enemies foreign and domestic, my oath expires with my death, not before. As long as I breath I will bleed for America, for you, your family and your freedom!

It’s Almost That Time!

It’s almost that time, time to vote again. Another chance to help affect change in our country, to feel like we are doing our part, our civic duty. This raises the question of “what are civic duties”, or more appropriately “what are our civic duties as an American citizen”? I think the answer you get will differ greatly from person to person, and most of them will be wrong. I make this statement with confidence in it’s validity, having watched many of the videos posted online asking our college students and the average American simple questions about current and past American history or events. An even greater indicator is the actual state of our society.

So what are these “civic duties and responsibilities” I keep going on about here? I know some of you have no idea what I am talking about.

Assuming that you accept the concept that “we the people” have a responsibility to be loyal to our country and our government, and in turn our government has a responsibility to protect our life, liberty, rights and freedoms. It is through this concept that we derive our civic duties and responsibilities, some of our duties come with a legal obligation attached.
Such as:

• Obeying the Law – This includes traffic laws also.
• Jury Duty – Everyone I know that has been called for jury duty has done their best to be excused from it. I have been called twice, both times they seated a jury before I was selected, bummed me out, I wanted to serve, it’s one of my civic duties.
• Paying Taxes – I don’t enjoy paying taxes, but I do understand the need for them. I didn’t appreciate as a Tea Party member the I.R.S combing through my records for political reasons, but that is part of the breakdown I am talking about.
• Voting – Voting as we all know is not required by law, but it is a duty we have as citizens. Politics affects every second of your life, even as you sleep. Voting is a duty, voting knowledgeably is a responsibility.
• Military Service – (listening for the uproar) Okay Military Service is not a duty (it is a civic responsibility), I add this because I believe it should be a civic duty. I believe every citizen should serve between 1 and 3 years service to their country. Imagine the rise in high school graduation rates, the drop in crime rates, poverty levels and unemployment levels across the country. We would have a better educated society and one that understands civic duty first hand. My service in the U.S. Navy changed my life for the better.

A civic responsibility is something we do out of a sense of obligation to ourselves and our country. In a truly patriotic society what is considered a civic responsibility is clearly defined and accepted, as it used to be in our society. The liberal agenda coupled with political correctness has distorted and warped many of our American traditions and civic responsibilities. Civic responsibilities, past and present include:

• Military Service – A once proud tradition for many, it is still considered an honor to serve by the more patriotic Americans.
• Government Service – Many people work in civil service jobs as a way to feel that they are fulfilling a responsibility to their country. In the past this was more common, but I believe most current government employees have taken the job simply because of the pay and benefits. With a pay rate approximately 30% higher then their civilian counterparts.
• Politics – The first group of people are those with a very strong sense of civic responsibility, they have pursued becoming a politician to serve the public trust and help to protect our rights and freedoms. (cue derisive laughter)
  The second group are those that have helped by working on a political campaign, feeling that this would be substantial enough to satisfy their sense of responsibility.
  The third group are those that become actively involved in the political process as either an advocate and representative of the people (independent), fighting to protect our rights and freedoms. Or they become an active member of one of the two major political parties, and become part of an agenda and philosophy.

One of the greatest civic responsibilities you could share with others was volunteer work in the community. Americans used to excel at this, more so then any other nation. Through our churches, schools, neighborhood community centers and organized charitable organizations, we gave much in time, money and effort to our favorite charities and causes. Our civic and social (moral) responsibilities were an integral part of our daily lives as individuals and as a community.

Christians and conservatives still do their best to adhere to the tenets and the values that our sense of duty and responsibility spring from. The liberals and democrats have drifted so far from any moral base, that in many democratically controlled cities and towns they have passed laws and regulations prohibiting many charitable actions. They have made it illegal in some places to help house, cloth or even feed homeless people. They either want to make as many people totally dependent on government as possible (look into cloward & piven strategy), or they have no compassion what-so-ever.

Their agenda clearly shows they have abandoned all sense of patriotism and tradition, in doing so I believe they have also sacrificed their morality. I believe they have also sacrificed something even greater, something the value of, they no longer can appreciate. Our traditions and charitable works are built upon this as is our ethics and our morals. What I am speaking of is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the rights and the freedoms that are protected by the rule of law in these documents have allowed us to become a country of tradition and charity.

The liberals and democrats are violating the greatest civic duty and responsibility of all. They refuse to  accept their responsibility to help safeguard and protect our rights and freedoms. Their current agenda seeks to deprive and violate, not protect and promote, they have no problems using lies and deceit, win at all costs. Though we may not understand the end game to which they play. I don’t believe they understand the true consequences of their actions.

Though no one advocates for violence, do they think “we the people” will go quietly if they try to take our freedom of speech, or religion? They need to understand we would use our guns in defense of our rights before we would allow anyone to try and confiscate them. Does the leftist elite think they would somehow be immune to the consequences. The government does not have nearly enough people to take by force that which we will not give up willingly.

 

The Second, Second Amendment…

The Second Amendment, from The Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments to the United States Constitution).

I know you are wondering about the title, “The Second, Second Amendment”. Above is the second amendment as written by our fore fathers, their is a second one. The second one I refer to is how a liberal reads the first, second amendment (confused yet).

The liberal reading: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, until we can regulate them out of existence and then confiscate them all.

We keep hearing it said that the liberals do not want to take our guns, yet every new gun law proposed does nothing to take guns away from criminals or reduce crime in any way. They simply put restrictions on legal gun owners, putting legal gun owners like myself, in a position to question their real motivations. There is no way I can ask the questions without sounding insulting to the gun-control crowd, so I might as well go all out and ask. ARE THEY STUPID? With all of the facts and studies, the non-biased studies that is, painting the same picture, they keep saying the brush is bad. So let’s look at some numbers and facts.

From the estimates I have found there are approximately 270,000,000 guns in the United States in the civilian population. So by those numbers I would guess thousands of people are getting killed everyday with guns, or so the left would have you believe. In fact the CDC has dropped gun deaths (homicides) off of the top 15 causes of death in the US, lets look at the numbers. I used the 2010 census for population totals because the data available for the death rate is as of 2010.

United States Population (from US Census Bureau 2010 data): 308,745,538

Number of deaths in the US (2010 data latest available): 2,465,936

So the number of people that died in 2010 is .80% of the total population, less then 1%. Now lets look at the numbers of homicides in the US for 2010. These numbers are from the CDC (Center for Disease Control), part of the US Government.

2010 Homicides: 16,065

2010 Homicides by discharge of a firearm: 11,015

2010 Homicides by other means: 5,050

Of the 16,065 homicides in 2010 approximately two-thirds of them were with firearms, do the math and you find that of the 2,465,936 deaths in 2010, 0.45% were from guns. That is less then one-half of one percent, that does not sound like an epidemic to me!

When you consider there was 35,080 deaths caused by motor vehicles, more then double the number caused by guns. I guess we need better car control, where is the left on that?

So this brings us to the question of the AR-15 and similar rifles, the scary black assault weapons, the Websters dictionary on my desk next to me from 1987 does not even list an assault weapon. Yet the AR-15 they keep calling an assault weapon has been in production since 1963. The term is used by anti-gun groups and politicians to scare people. The only difference between a hunting rifle of a certain caliber and it’s so called scary looking brother are cosmetic parts.

Of the 11,015 deaths by firearms in 2010, the FBI statistics shows 367 deaths by rifles. This number includes all of the scary “assault weapons” that may have been used. More deaths can be attributed to knives (1732), blunt objects (549) or even the human body using fists, feet, etc… (769) in 2010 according to the FBI.

We keep hearing from the anti-gun crowd about needing more background checks. Every person that goes to a licensed gun dealer already goes through a background check, it’s already federal law. I know from personal experience, I have gone through a background check for every firearm I have bought. I have never bought a gun at a gun show, I have met people that have, and many of them went through a background check also. I am not saying there are no loop holes to be be exploited, but most criminals have avenues far from any legal means to purchase from. The additional cost of buying “on the street” doesn’t really bother them, it’s just a little less drug profits for them. Maybe the liberals have not noticed but breaking the law is what they do, more laws will not suddenly give them an epiphany and make them change their ways!

The Second Amendment is about being able to protect ourselves, even if that is to protect ourselves from a government out of control. The founding fathers understood that under the wrong circumstances that could become a reality. The push for gun control is about people control, not guns. There are those inside and outside of the US Government who want to control us, as long as we are an armed populace they understand they can’t do that.

 

I’m Confused about this Constitution thingy

I was sitting here daydreaming and I came up with a great idea. Why don’t we write a document that would protect our right to free speech, so you could like tell people about the things you believe in without getting into trouble for it.

And then I thought about taking it a step further and adding in something about being able to have guns for protection and stuff like that. Without having to worry about the government trying to take them away.

Ok so now I am on a roll and I think what the hell, let’s add something that would allow me to practice my religion, and maybe be free of searches by the government for no reason. I thought cool I am really on to something here, awesome!

Then my neighbor tells me we already have just what I am talking about, it’s called the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, I was confused! So I looked him straight in the eye and asked him “if we already got that how come the government doesn’t know anything about it”? He just sat there looking at me cause he had no answer for that. I finally stumped that dam right wing, Tea party, gun lovin Christian, bout dam time!

Target Acquired

Hopefully the gun control people will look at the facts and statistics and we can move on to other issues that need addressing more.

I had to point out the stupidity of this guy though, I don’t read the Huff Post, this article was pointed out to me.  I have to believe this guy gave no serious thought to the overall consequences of the actions he is condoning, that or he is very naive and foolish. He is a professor at George Washington University and a sociologist, nuff said! The next paragraph is a quote from his article.

“We should not wait for our elected officials, in President Obama’s good words, “to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.” We should do our share. One way to proceed is to mark our homes, apartments and condos, with a “gun free” sign. Parents should notify their friends that they would be reluctant to send their child over for a play date unless the home was safe from guns. Residential communities should pass rules that ban bringing guns onto their premises, clearly marking them as gun free.

Anyone who puts up such signs will become an ambassador for gun control, because they are sure to be challenged by gun advocates to explain their anti-gun positions.”

People putting these “gun free zone” signs on their house will not become ambassadors for gun control. What they will become is a target for thieves or worse (armed home invasion).

Even if you hate guns and are a gun control advocate, please do yourself a favor and don’t be foolish enough to follow this mans advice. I can imagine local criminals even sharing information on where these gun free homes are.

If you don’t like guns, that’s fine with me. What I am not fine with is you using your 1st amendment rights to try and take my 2nd amendment rights away. I don’t question your right to freedom of speech even if I find some of what you say offensive. Even without my right to bear arms guaranteed by the Constitution, I still firmly believe that I have a natural right to protect mine and my families lives. And the right to do that as effectively as possible, if an AR-15 is the most effective method, then I have the right to own it.

Instead of trying to pull the heart strings with all of your rhetoric about gun control, think about putting that effort into a call for better mental health care in America. Limiting my rights won’t stop a sick person from getting a firearm, they can steal it or buy one on the streets. There is already a black market in firearms (mostly handguns) on the streets of every major city in America. More gun control equals higher street prices for a stolen gun, that’s all. Drug dealers and criminals don’t quibble about price to begin with I don’t think.

Less then 1/2 of 1% (.45%, 2010 data) of all deaths in the United States each year is from a firearm (by homicide).

If the left is so concerned, why are they not asking the main stream media why they don’t do their job properly. Why they don’t report more on the high death rate among young black kids in most inner cities?

I understand why! Because they would be forced to deal with a situation they help to create and nurture. And these deaths don’t help their narrative on gun control!

A little Self Defense Reality

In India the government has banned gatherings of more then 5 people for now, the reason is because of the protests. The protests were sparked by the rape of a 23 year old woman on a bus. New Delhi has a rape reported once every 18 hours, and they say most sex crimes are not even reported, which means the frequency is much worse then that. New Delhi only has a population of 250,000 people, gun laws in India do allow for gun ownership, but the government makes a permit so hard to get. And the cost of a gun so prohibitive almost no civilian owns one, gun control through simple regulation.

The reason I bring this up is because this is what will happen in the United States, but on a larger scale in our major cities if we allow the liberals and socialists in the government to mess with the 2nd amendment.

Look around the world, and ask yourself if the horrors you see there are what we want for our country. Our gun rights are one of the major factors that actually helps us to remain more civilized!
